Miloor might not be the hero, but he's definitely the protagonist of Streets of Ganjet.

He's not really handsome, nor friendly and doesn't have a really interesting social status. But he IS a very powerful earth mage, and is capable of absorbing energy around him(especially life-energy) and using it to do elemental kinds of magic as well as preform difficult rituals and summon divine creatures.
Due this and a strange connection to an urban legend about a thief-kid that is running around in a soldier's cloak(like the one Miloor's wearing), his appearance outside of the soldiers-district creates a lot of upheaval within the many gangs and factions, of which some are trying to get him to join their group and others are trying to kill him.

Unfortunately for those groups that are trying to 'recruit' him, Miloor's a very cautious person when it comes to trusting someone, and even downright prejudiced and narrow-minded.
